Frank Fulton, Jr. Founder of the Performance Protocol
Born and raised in Virginia, Frank has spent his life playing and coaching in the athletic arenas of sport. Frank has served as the Head Football Coach at Averett University where he started the program from scratch. He was the Head Baseball Coach at Hampden-Sydney College and an Assistant Football Coach for the Tigers. He served internationally as the German National Coach and the Director of German Baseball Development as well as the European Scouting Director for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Frank and his wife, Anna, have six children. There family has spent many years in amateur sports and Frank has served as a high school teacher/coach and as a youth sports development director. Frank taught math and coached football/baseball/basketball at Amherst County HS, Louisa County HS, and Central of Lunenburg County HS.
Frank also developed one of the first traveling baseball developmental camps that traveled to minor league teams and communities throughout the Southeast. He developed camps with the Lynchburg Mets, the Salem Avalanche, Greensboro Hornets, Durham Bulls, Kinston Indians, Tidewater Tides, Johnson City Cardinals, Kingsport Mets, Greenville Braves, Charlston Rainbows, and the Sumter Braves.
Frank was involved in scouting with the Florida Marlins as an associate scout, the Ohio Valley Redcoats as their Scouting director, and worked with Perfect Game USA for five years where he handled many different assignments. Frank has been instrumental in locating professional young talent within the Mid-Atlantic region and has helped many young men from all over the world network their talents to collegiate participation. He has helped place athletes from Germany, North Carolina, and Virginia into the college ranks and networked a few local talents which resulted in draft selections for these young men. Jon Fulton was selected as the 83 pick of the 2003 draft by the Florida Marlins, Kenny Lewis, Jr. was selected 104 pick by the Cincinnati Reds in 2003, and Jeremy Jeffress was the 1st pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in 2006.
Recently, Frank has embarked on a series of developmental projects that focus on developing citizenship and positive athletic development. He as created the 501c3 Non-profit foundation, The Good Citizens Foundation, has partnered with an international service organization, Global Sports Association, and has developed the Performance Protocol Network.
Frank holds a BA degree from Hampden-Sydney College in Economics and two master degrees from Longwood University; the first in Educational Supervision and the second in Physical Education. He also holds professional license in North Carolina as K-12Principal and Curriculum Instructional specialist.
